Pre-Order Terms and Conditions


  1. Pre-Order Function

    • 1.1 We may occasionally list new to market products on our Webstore for your convenience.
    • 1.2 If you wish to pre-order a product pending release, you can do this by following our usual order process on our Webstore. Products available for pre-order will be clearly marked on our Webstore.
    • 1.3 Purchases for pre-order products are limited to one type of pre-order product per customer. Any pre-orders for different product must be made separately. Please note that when purchasing pre-order product, you are unable to add any other product(s) to your basket.
    • 1.4 Once your pre-order request has been successfully placed, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt via your chosen contact details. The acknowledgment email will confirm details of your pre-order and an estimated shipping date.
    • 1.5 Please note your order is not confirmed until you receive a shipment confirmation email.
  2. Payment

    • 2.1 No payment will be taken from you until you receive a shipment confirmation email.
    • 2.2 If your chosen payment method has expired, we will contact you closer to the shipping date to request an updated payment method. If we are unable to get in contact with you via your chosen contact email address, or we do not hear back from you within thirty days, your pre-order may be cancelled.
    • 2.3 Please contact us if you need to update your chosen payment method.
  3. Delivery

    • 3.1 Once payment has been successfully made, you will receive an email notifying you that the product is ready to ship.
    • 3.2 We will aim to deliver your product in the time outlined in your pre-order acknowledgment email. However, please note that actual shipping date may vary.
    • 3.3 Please refer to Section 4 for more details on delivery and shipping.
    • 3.4 Should we unfortunately be unable to fulfil your pre-order, we will get in touch via your chosen contact method.
  4. Cancellation and returns

    • 4.1 You have the right to cancel your pre-order at any time before your pre-order is ready for shipping.
    • 4.2 If you have received your pre-ordered product and wish to return a pre-order product, returns will be processed in line with our usual returns policy. Please see Section 5 for more details.
    • 4.3 We reserve the right to not accept or cancel a pre-order for any reason at our discretion, including, but not limited to where:
      • 4.3.1 we have not been able to obtain authorisation for payment;
      • 4.3.2 the availability of stock is low, or the product is out of stock;
      • 4.3.3 we have identified an error in the price or description of the product;
      • 4.3.4 the information you have provided in respect of your pre-order is corrupted, unsupported technically or inadequate for any reason;
      • 4.3.5 your pre-order is deemed to be suspicious;
      • 4.3.6 your pre-order breaches any of these Conditions; or
      • 4.3.7 we believe your pre-order is fraudulent.
  5. General

    • 5.1 Please note the official launch date for pre-ordered product(s) is subject to change. Any changes to proposed dates will be communicated to you by email.
    • 5.2 We have tried to accurately describe the product but we may make changes before it is delivered.
    • 5.3 Mattel will not be liable for any delays, postponement, changes to or discontinuation of product.
    • 5.4 These Pre-Order Terms and Conditions (“Pre-Order Terms”), together with our Terms of Sale, Privacy Policy (“Terms”) are provided by Mattel Europa B.V. (‘us’ ‘our’ ‘we’) and constitute your agreement with us for placing pre-orders. By placing a pre-order, you confirm you accept these Pre-Order Terms and we recommend you read them carefully. In the event of any conflict between the Terms, and the Pre-Order Terms, these Pre-Order Terms shall prevail.
    • 5.5 We reserve the right to amend these terms. Please check our Webstore regularly for updates.
    • 5.6 These Pre-Order Terms are governed by Dutch law. If a court of competent jurisdiction invalidates part of these Membership Terms, the remainder shall remain in force.
